Leonardo
for a Day
Ideal for elementary classroom visits following an assembly.
Students love to have an extended opportunity to speak with
Leonardo about subjects that interest them. In character,
I have an opportunity to challenge their thinking further
by asking how they solve problems, how they overcome frustrations,
create new habits, build connections among different fields
of knowledge, pursue what inspires them and uncover the
nature of their own genius. Out of character, I can respond
to their "behind the scenes" questions about how
I built certain set pieces, worked with a designer to create
my costume, or how I memorized the story. These exchanges,
by virtue of their informality are a delight for both myself
and the students.
