Chaordic Design

Chaordic is an invented word that suggests a seamless blending of chaos and order, a vibrant, living system that, like nature herself, is largely chaotic with just enough pattern to give it order. Chaos and order. This is an essential understanding of the "New Renaissance." It is also the way all highly adaptive, efficient, creative systems work, such as the human brain, a cell, the internet, Alcoholics Anonymous, the Earth. The theory was developed by Dee Hock, the man who created VISA and turned the organizational patterns of monetary exchange inside out. Dee left VISA to become a farmer-philosopher and an activist in the exploration of systems that can and will transform the way organizations serve their purpose without controlling people¹s creativity.
