Requirements
Designed for the age of initiation on through adult, the experience
of meeting Leonardo da Vinci is riveting for everyone from
nine to ninety. The performance is most effective if presented
in a theater setting, although a large library, meeting room,
gym or "cafetorium" can also be used. Depending
on the audience, the performance runs from sixty to ninety
minutes, easily maintaining audience engagement.
I
always offer a post-play question and answer period and
I am always delighted to tell more stories about Leonardo,
to learn from the expertise in the audience, and to build
connections between the Italian Renaissance of 500 years
ago and the New Renaissance emerging today.
With
a carload of props and set pieces, I need to arrive one
hour early and have easy access to the performance space.
It is helpful to have a person on hand to help unload the
heavier objects. Larger theater venues need to supply lighting
and sound support including a state of the art wireless
hidden microphone. It is helpful also to have six music
stands available to display reproductions.
