Reading List

Leonardo, Discovering the Life of Leonardo da Vinci, by Serge Bramly, Edward Burlingame Books, 1991. A primary source for me, fascinating and scholarly.

Leonardo On Painting, Edited by Martin Kemp, Yale University Press, 1989. Leonardo¹s treatise on painting, assembled by Fransesco Melzi after his master¹s death. An exquisite glimpse into the precision and thoroughness of Leonardo¹s mind.

Masters of Art, Leonardo da Vinci; Artist, Inventor and Scientist of the
Renaissance, by Francesca Romei, Illustrated by Sergio and Andrea Ricciardi, Peter Bedrick Books, 1997. A big, detailed picture book with every page a new chapter wonderfully displayed. Perfect for every school or family book shelf. Filled with a collage of facts and snippets, photos, drawings and elegant illustrations.

How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci; Seven Steps to Genius Every Day, by Michael J. Gelb. Delacorte Press, 1998. I loved learning these seven
principles extrapolated by the author from Leonardo¹s life and times.
